Since winter 2009/2010 the guests benefit from a great number of improvements of the Hochzeiger skiing area. More than 10 million € have been put into the new Zirbenbahn (detachable 6 seater chairlift), Zirbenpiste, snowmaking system and so on.

NEW: Zirbenbahn - detachable 6-seat chairlift In the skiing area between the Sechszeiger – Leiner Alm – Kalbenalm there is a new detachable 6-seat chairlift with weather-proof covers and integrated seat heating. The valley station of the top modern Zirbenbahn is at an altitude of 1.959 m, the top station at 2.931 m. The new mountain railway has a transportation capacity of 2.400 people /hour. |

NEW: Zirbenpiste and panorama piste All winter sport fans can do their turns on two new (red) slopes. The Zirbenpiste with 2 km is within splitting distance of the Zirbenbahn. The 4 km panorama piste grants imposing views of the district capital Imst and the Gurgltal and Inntal. The Hochzeiger skiing area has a total of 52 km of pistes. |

NEW: Artificial snowmaking in the whole area within 10 days The reservoir pond Sechszeiger with former 40.000 m³ has been increased to 105.000 m³ so that now not only 22 but 64 snow cannons can be employed. By making this investment the area-wide process of artificial snowmaking of the Hochzeiger skiing area is possible! |
